My painting “Pomegranates,” was created in layers with an underpainting, glazes, and impasto. I enjoyed this process because it helped me to find patience and to work more intentionally. I chose to paint fresh pomegranates and wilting leaves as a personal meditation on finding strength and power in letting go of the past.
